May 7, 2014, Charleston, S.C. – Carolina Financial Corporation (OTCQB: CARO), the holding company for CresCom Bank, a S.C. state-chartered community bank, has been ranked the #1 S.C.-based community bank on American Banker Magazine’s current list of “Top 200 Community Banks and Thrifts as Ranked by Three-Year Average ROE.” (  Carolina Financial Corp. posted a three-year ROAE of 17.1 percent.

Carolina Financial Corporation ranked #6 overall when compared to community banks across the United States.

Of the 200 community banks that made American Banker Magazine’s list, only three S.C.-based community banks were ranked.
